Maps and Trail Info
Burtt’s Orchard Trail
Burtt’s Orchard Trail, a 1.3-mile loop, offers spectacular local and distant scenic vistas. Alfred Hitchcock’s film, The Trouble with Harry, starring John Forsythe and Shirley McLaine, had scenes shot just off this trail, where Harry’s body was found in the woods!

McQueeney Trails
With trailheads off Cabot Plains Road and McQueeney Road, the McQueeney Trails (3.6 miles) offers gentle paths for recreational trail users.

Old Town Center Trail
The Old Town Center Trail is a one-mile trail, steep in places, to the Old Center of Town, which includes the original cemetery and stone foundations. The trail can also be accessed from Old Center Road, where there is a small parking area. Check out the poetry on the trail – you can read the poems or listen to the authors read their poems, using the QR codes on the poetry plaques.

Talbert Farm Trails
The Talbert Farm Trails was the first trail to be developed and opened to hikers, skiers, and bikers with 4 miles of trails.

Town Forest Trails

Winter Trails
Expanding upon a previously established trail, The Winter Trail now includes almost 4 miles of trails used primarily in the Fall and Winter by hikers and skiers.
