A Historic Gathering Place, Revitalized

The Plainfield Granary at 153 Main Street, Plainfield, VT more than just a building—it’s a vibrant hub for the community, local commerce, and the growth of small agricultural economies. Rooted in a rich history, this location once served as a Grange Hall and the Plainfield Cooperative Market for over 50 years. Now, under new ownership, we are working hard to renovate and revitalize this essential gathering space.

The Granary is committed to maintaining its dynamic role as a center where rural communities can share resources, collaborate, and come together.
